i need...!!(you know)
urgh bloody hell im all frustrated and annoyed
i know i promised not to get pent up about women but it's impossible - im only male! ive been getting worked over both girl i like who is miles away at home until next year anyway and kiwi girl who is visiting in january, which is very close and i need to buy xmas presents and have no idea what to get
ive been debating talking to girl i like, shes not at uni til next september now but i havent spoken to her since the beginning of term but i don't know if i should, or if she cares
as for kiwi girl, im happy that she's coming but im not sure what to do, aside from buying (meaningful) presents im not sure what sort of situation im going to be in when she wants to be alone - it's complex - which is funny because in reality noone thinks me or my life is complicated at all, i just dont talk about stuff like this and stay bitter and twisted
im also stressing over a presentation i have to do next week and have done sweet f.a for hopefully itll be alright but its just depressing when all i can do is mope
im also hungry - which makes this all 10 times worse

getting slack
yes i am a lazy sod and havent blogged in ages, but truth be told ive had no desire to write anything down and nothing exciting happened - bond was good and i have work to do, thats about it
well good news is so far ive got very high marks for those crappy assignments i did a few weeks ago - to be fair tho i havent had the two crappest back yet so it may get worse
and i havent really found something i could rant about too much - however now i have
some idiot woman has said we must apologise for the slave trade??? wha..............?
what planet is she on?
im not sure because as usual i have only the basic idea of it rather than any facts but is she just asking us? what about the portuguese and dutch?? i know we ended up as the best traders but we didnt start it
and secondly - do some history love, we did not go to africa and abduct people, we traded for them hence slave trade we basically bought criminals and enemies of the tribes we traded with and gave them guns and other magic
i concede that millions died on the appauling voyages and then got sold into slavery which can't be great but why should we apologise for something we banned nearly 200 years ago??
bahumbug...ill update later...havent finished yet
back at last...got half an hour to finish this
so anyway, i don't see how giving money to displaced african people is fair, those people have not directly been involved in slavery at all - i just read the bbc article - they want their real names? it's a bloody name for god's sake
modern society is built on different cultures invading others and assimilating, its been happening for millenia and yes by todays standards slavery was wrong but there have been a hell of a lot of wrong things in the past and no one group is responsible for it and how do you determine who is eligible for what
- black people are fortunate that they can prove their ancestry and say their descendants were slaves (if they were), unfortunately the descendants of slaves in ancient rome and greece don't have that same advantage, the only difference between the two is time - the fact that the african slave trade was relatively recent
when will people stop trying to blame the past for everything wrong with the world - it happened, get over it, anyone trying to say slavery makes black people second class citizens (especially in this country) is talking bollocks, im not denying it influenced the development of africa and its people but that was inevitable, just because it's undesirable to modern day standards doesnt make it a tarnish on us
i was quite impressed with blair's handling of it, he can't go all out like me and he kept the peace pretty well, and i agree we should commemorate the abolition of slavery (and the abolitionists - just dont tell an economic historian that) and teach it more in school (i did at school anyway)
well whatever

vesper
well i finally saw james bond! and i must say it was as good as expected
the opening credits were good, lots of funky psychadelic stuff going on and i predicted the bit with daniel craigs face at the end..im cool
the film is long and there's several sort of mini films, but its good and is very much bond orientated, lots of poker as well
i thought daniel craig plays it very well, rough around the edges and witty
and i really cant be arsed to write any more - whats wrong with me

i feel strange
im feeling a bit odd - presumably due to hunger
i pledged to do some work today but i did none basically and i need to do a presentation this week - shit!
i was having nightmares this morning - i kept thinking i had 2 essays due in the morning and i was in my old school buggering about for some reason - then i realised i only have one essay left to do - i think im worried because my essays suck and im still not working
blah
oh yeah and this is really old but why did they stop showing ed at lunchtimes on channel 4 last summer? it was mid-series for gods sake and they just stopped showing it one day - i enjoy the bowling alley lawyer show
i have no political comment at the mo which is a good thing but shortens my blogs substantially - i am however seeing james bond this week yay!

me blog properly
ok, ill write more than a sentence this time - maybe 2
first i have a medical condition and i am not going near a doctors, mainly because its impossible to see an nhs doctor these days and it doesnt hurt - basically i have a rash at the top of my legs, i noticed it a few weeks ago and its getting worse (i think - it has at least got worse) and doesnt seem to be healing at all
i have no idea what it is - it doesnt irritate or anything, it just looks weird so i assume im not dying, but id like to get rid of it
second - the new bond is out! i love bond and this better be a hell of a lot better than bloody die another day - i dont want to start a debate about who is the best bond because thats what always happens when i mention bond - for me it's either connery or brosnan i feel theyre too different to be comparable
and also - when are dulux going to steal that sony advert - its a blatant paint advert, admittedly why do dulux need to advertise, you go buy some paint what do u get - dulux! (or crown or farrow and ball if youre mega posh) but i just feel that advert is too great to be an add for sony bravia - good ad but its pointless for them - its paint!!
if you havent seen it its a council estate/tower block and basically a load of colourful paint explodes all over it to a background of famous ochestral music and its well cool
- off to procrastinate

tis freedom i tell thee
well hello, i thought i didnt have anything to write but then i remembered i saw Borat yesterday
also on a life note - finished assignments for a few weeks finally - wooo, now lets just hope they actually pass and kiwi girl is busy doing exams so ive got nothing to do really
anyway Borat - the best film i have seen in years, its not deep, its not clever but its bloody hilarious
best moments include 'the running of the jew' watch out for the jew eggs! borat glorifying the "war of terror"! a ten minute naked romp through a hotel and pamela anderson being put in a sack]
amazing film...took lazy to write much more

Previously...
on LOST!
well that was an interesting show, not a lot happened, but then a lot did...confusing
basically jack decides to operate on henry/ben and obviously has no trust in these people, meanwhile kate and sawyer are getting jiggy - and jack sees on a camera by "accident" and also danielles kid is running around
the fat little bastard wants to kill sawyer, and nearly does but then jack goes nuts in the operating theatre and leaves henry lying on the table with an hour to live - telling kate and sawyer to run (obviously he doesnt know hes on a different island)
also locke got a message from eko's stick, which said look north
so not a huge amount to chat about, i think this might be a cliffhanger because i believe they are stopping til next year about now
well anyway im too preoccupied to chat about lost too much - assignments due tomorrow and ive written shit!
basically ive done all these in a 3 days period and don't deserve to pass, theyre nearly hand-inable but that's not the point because ive done no real work, and am basically blagging them
so i am now making a pact, on here so it's not just something i said in my head - i am going to work !hard! on my remaining assignments (which arent due in on the same day again thank god) so basically if i am lucky enough to pass, even if it's not a very good pass i will make good on my promises, but its a sort of get out clause - if i fail tho, ill still do the work, but god knows what happens then
im praying for these all to pass, please...ill behave from now on..

running out of titles
well, i figure i should do a light hearted blog whilst i slowly go insane - only three assignments left (told you i wouldnt do the whole 500 words a day thing, maybe next time)
i just want to make the point that americans have a thing called full service 'gas' (petrol - gas is a gas) stations which basically means the dont have to leave their cars - lazy mother/uncle f****s
i mean seriously does that just sum up american culture or what? no wonder theyre all obese, if they can't even be arsed to get out of their car to fill up with petrol
or is it just to keep people employed? i saw a simpsons episode the safari one where they had a go at "bag boys" (that would mean something far worse here) who essentially pack shopping for you - we have that, but not at every till! thats for the lazy/old/dead people not regular people - waste of money and will just make you fat(ter)
admittedly they have them in new zealand and australia as well but seriously - employ someone for a reason and do some exercise!

Crunch time
well it's coming down to the end of the line now, work is due in monday morning and i am barely even started and yet here i am writing a blog
it's not good to dwell on these facts so ill focus on my failures
on saturday i was shopping and i saw myself from the side, because there were two mirrors in the changing room and i realised just how i look
obviously i normally only see myself from the front, which aint too bad but from the side i could see my mangled nose and awful hair and it was very depressing, especially as i was hungry
i wouldve written a lot more at the time but now, thanks to the human psyche im over it, sort of - but i have decided to not even bother going for women ever again now because there really is no point when you look like this (im sure i decided this before but now its serious)
however this should mean i want to do my work but noooo....i need food

the first time in sixteen years had to be the time i had money on it!!
im slightly irritated - i put a bet on chelsea today, which i was reluctant to do in the first place but decided it was fairly safe based on past performances this season but oh no! only a fiver but still annoying considering spurs havent beaten them in the league since 1990!
anyway, i was going to wallow in self pity about my appearance as i got really depressed on saturday, but now im fine and not miserable so ill save it for tomorrow as its bonfire night
i like bonfire night, i dislike the pc shit we get with it - it's about burning catholics and so forth, which is naughty, it's also very dangerous, so therefore u cant stand anywhere near the fire and warmth which is what i remember from bonfire night in my youth and therefore has ruined it, it is also offensive for native britons to celebrate their history and offensive to other cultures who are more important than us white infidels
anyway sarcasm over with - i think bonfire night is one of the few remnants of british heritage left, and it also relates to an important period of history - the beginnings of the stuart dynasty, issues with catholics, history of terrorism, the union of england and scotland etc etc and is therefore a good way to make kids, and older plebs learn about our history
i do not mind having diwali, whatever the hell it is, but nobody complains about that and it relates to far less people than bonfire night so please somebody shoot the p-c brigade
i read (in the sun, i might add) about this bizarre thing they are doing in tower hamlets which involves a bengali tiger on fire or something - the sun naturally criticised such an event, i do see this sort of bollocks as a threat to proper tradition but i thought id be a bit more liberal, simply because the sun annoys me
tower hamlets is mostly immigrants from what ive seen, presumably indians/pakistanis so ok doing something whacky with tigers isn't such a big deal, why not? - problem is does this put out any british natives who want to celebrate bonfire night and guy fawkes etc? they can probably go somewhere else just down the road but what happens if everyone does this silly stuff
i dont know!!! im open to new and weird ideas about bonfire night, but that then makes me fear the proper tradition disappearing
just keep it - guys, fireworks and all
